Medicare Eligible Informational Communication

8/21/14

Author: SuperUser Account/Tuesday, August 19, 2014/Categories: Bulletin News

ADP TotalSource® will soon begin issuing a new informational communication to all enrolled worksite employees and dependents reaching Medicare-eligible age (65). The communication will provide these individuals with information regarding less costly alternate health coverage opportunities available to them through other sources, such as Medicare and Medicare Supplemental Plans and Marketplace health care plans. Gaining Medicare eligibility is also a qualifying event under the ADP TotalSource, Inc. Health and Welfare Plan for worksite employees and their dependents that choose to drop their health coverage within 60 days of becoming entitled to Medicare. The new Medicare communication will remind them of this allowance under the Plan.

The first such communication will be issued at the end of August to all existing worksite employees and dependents age 65 and currently enrolled in health coverage through the ADP TotalSource, Inc. Health and Welfare Plan. Subsequently, the letter will be sent 90 days in advance of a covered worksite employee or dependent reaching age 65 and annually in February prior to the ADP TotalSource benefits Open Enrollment.

As always, please contact you Human Resource Business Partner if you have any questions.
